This year, we're excited to introduce The MTC Convention Experience—a dynamic addition to the weekend that brings the energy, fun, and community spirit of MTC to life. It's a fun, low-pressure space where students can build confidence, make new friends, and celebrate their love of musical theatre.

MTC DanceDown and SongDown are part of the MTC Convention.

Submission Package: Use a manila envelope clearly labeled with Your Name, Studio &Age

Please stay onstage after each performance. Each Act will receive limited LIVE feedback from our judges after their performance.

The majority of Individual Overall Category, Individual, and Group Division Overall Awards will be presented at the Awards Ceremony directly following performances.

Please Note: Some Awards will be held over to future Awards Ceremonies in a different Session due to scheduling to ensure a category and division finish competing.

Categories and Divisions must have a minimum number of entries to be awarded in the Category and Division Overalls

Placement Awards: 

Diamond, Platinum, Gold, & Silver

Overall Category Award: 

Example: Teen - Debut - Jazz

Division Overall Award: 

Example: Mini - Debut - Vocal

Placement Awards:

• Group Placement Awards will be picked up after each Awards Ceremony on stage at the Awards Table.

Division Overall Award: 

Example: Teen - Premier - Vocal

• Please pre-select 1-2 team captains to represent the group for Award Presentation.

At the directors' request, we have created an affordable bundle package for studios. For a flat fee of $50.00 per performer, studios receive comprehensive media coverage, including recordings and photographs of ALL GROUP AND INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCES. Full studio participation is required, with each performer contributing the $50.00 Media Fee. MTC Package Media files will be delivered digitally within 10 days of the competition conclusion. 

Individual Acts will not be available for purchase.

Digital Media/Filming Policy

The use of any recording devices, such as digital cameras, cell phones, and SLR cameras, is strictly prohibited in performance areas and dressing rooms during competitions. 

This policy is standard at competitions, ensures the privacy and security of participants, and protects the intellectual property of our choreographers and faculty.

MTC BBQ at the Pool

Friday & Saturday  - 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM
You'll enjoy your choice of a hamburger, chicken fingers, or a classic corn dog — all served with French fries, fresh fruit, a cookie, and a beverage. It's the perfect way to refuel and refresh after a day of excitement! $25.00 pp

The BBQ is non-hosted and can be paid in person directly to Hilton. No need to RSVP! You can charge to your guest room. Each parent/family will pay separately to make it easier for you not to have to coordinate!
